Chronology Of Events That Took Place In The Southwest During The American Civil War

A Series by the Arizona Civil War Council

Welcome to “The History of the Southwest During the American Civil War”, the result of years of research, reenacting, and writing. This series covers the Civil War battles, Indian Wars battles, and important historical events that occurred within, or directly pertained to, the Southwestern states between April 9, 1861, the beginning of the American Civil War, and April 12, 1865, the end of the American Civil War, events in particular within the modern confines of Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado. While other blogs, websites, and media sites discuss a few of the specific events contained within this series, nothing existed covering the entirety of all these events as a series, until now.
